FPersistent fatigue, low morale, gloomy mood, desire to isolate ourselves… This is the unpleasant cocktail that arises for many of us as winter approaches. This phenomenon, known as “winter blues”, is similar to a temporary depressive state, often triggered by a lack of natural light. Thus, faced with increasingly short days (even more so in Belgium than elsewhere), leading to an increased lack of light, our production of serotonin, nicknamed the “happiness hormone”, drops suddenly. Add to that gloomy weather and you get a drop in energy and low morale.
