Last week as part of National Undernutrition Week, a team from Lot Aide à domicile was on the market with a stand offering hot drinks, fruits and dried cakes offered with Jordan Rivera, manager of the Prayssac sector, accompanied by Rose Soudé and Mélodie Boyer as well as Jérôme Bretel. For the morning, the CDIET located in Toulouse traveled with Valériane Saint-Genez, scientific manager and dietitian nutritionist, and Léa Cathesson, dietitian nutritionist. These are specialized in treatment in the context of a pathology and the care protocols are validated by the scientific committee.
Throughout the morning the stand attracted a lot of people; the CDIET and Lot Aide à domicile were able to respond to concerns around food, eating habits, the way of eating and explain the health conditions that influence nutritional needs. Many people were attentive to the subject, whether they had cholesterol problems, diabetes, weight loss, obesity…
The dietitians advised the visitors, informed them of possible follow-ups and of the coverage of dietary consultations by the majority of mutual insurance companies.
For its part, Lot Aide à domicile fully participates in the daily action against malnutrition by providing complete meals adapted to each person’s diet. In Prayssac, there are 33 employees and 208 beneficiaries. The Prayssac center brings together four sectors: Prayssac, Puy-l’Évêque, Luzech, Montcuq, or 170 employees and 650 beneficiaries.
