In Saint-Antonin, the Rando pour une Maman association collects an additional €3,900 to finance innovative equipment against cancer

Two months after the event, the Rando pour une Maman association recently presented a check for €3,900 to the Oncopole of Toulouse. On September 8, the association mobilized for September Turquoise, the awareness month dedicated to the fight against gynecological cancers. Thus, 136 participants were present for this third edition and were able to enjoy this beautiful, friendly, warm and delicious morning in Saint-Antonin. The walkers, coming from different surrounding communities and even further afield, set out for two routes of 5 and 10 kilometers.

At the end of the hikes, doctors Laurence Gladieff and Gwenaël Ferron, in front of around fifty spectators, raised awareness about risk factors, prevention and the importance of donation.

A global gift of €10,000

During this day, €3,900 was collected in order to advance research by financing local, innovative and innovative projects. This sum is added to the €6,100 already paid in May.

The year 2024 therefore ended this Tuesday, November 19 in the premises of the Oncopole of Toulouse where a new project will be born with the purchase of a hydromolecular care concept for an amount of €10,000, entirely financed by the association. It is a mobile piece of equipment appreciated by patients and caregivers who use it. It is a new solution for care, which can be used directly at the patient’s bed in order to respect their privacy and avoid trips to the bathroom. A concept that is easy to transport and move, which frees up time to be closer to patients.

The association’s next event will take place on May 10 and 11, 2025, at La Ferme de la Culture in Touget, with the author, composer and performer, Anne Etchegoyen, godmother of the edition. Tickets for this concert can already be reserved on Hello Asso or with Rando pour une Maman volunteers at the Christmas markets (Solomiac, Monfort, Mauvezin, Touget).
