the essential
This Tuesday, November 26, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the 6th edition of the “Let’s Talk Health” operation will be held.
Meeting with Audrey Fourmaut, coordinator of the local health contract for the Haute Vallée de l’Aude (HVA).
Can you present the HVA Precarious Health Network (HVA RSP)?
The RSP HVA was born in 2018 from the desire of field stakeholders to promote knowledge between stakeholders in the health and social fields. The network includes both volunteers and professionals. Listing all the partners would be too long but to get an idea, we find the Médecins du monde association, the CPAM de l’Aude, the association of the little brothers of the poor, the Limoux-Quillan hospital center, the house multidisciplinary health center of Espéraza, the peasant house of Aude in particular…
A major 6th edition, isn’t it?
The HVA experiences difficulties in accessing health care which lead to forgoing care for several reasons: geographical accessibility linked to transport time adds to social isolation and administrative difficulties. It therefore appears necessary through our network to offer a concrete and participatory day focused on various screenings and especially information to the populations.
What will be the highlights?
Information stands, advice on nutrition and activities, physical activity, oral health, well-being, prevention of various cancers, but also listening will be offered. With regard to screenings, vision, diabetes, learning to perform breast self-examination, STDs (sexually transmitted diseases), hepatitis, vaccinations (on presentation of the health record), personalized health rights and prevention will be delivered to users.
Are initiations in the form of activities on the program?
Moving is a component of well-being, activities are offered in this sense, they arouse a number of participants and enthusiasm each year (see the program below)
