Promote, raise awareness, inform and facilitate vaccination for all; and allow free vaccination on site after expertise and medical validation: this is what the Michel-Mazéas hospital center is offering, Friday November 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. “This is the first time that such a day has been organized in Douarnenez, specify Dr Lydie Khatchatourian, infectious disease specialist and head of the vaccination center at Laennec hospital, in Quimper, and Sonia Nicolas, deputy director of the Michel-Mazéas hospital center. The winter period is ideal for raising awareness about vaccination. »
In the mission of a local hospital
Flu, Covid, whooping cough, but also tetanus, anti-pneumococcal, papillomarivus… “and specific vaccination for certain people”, all free, will be possible, without appointment, on site, at the hospital. A doctor, two nurses and a secretary will be present. “There will be an individual interview and vaccination if desired,” explains the doctor. Target population: all audiences, regardless of age, adults and adolescents, but also health professionals.
“This operation fits perfectly into our mission as a local hospital, continues Sonia Nicolas. There were a lot of people at the diabetes screening we organized recently. We want to reach out to the general public and the vulnerable population, for free access to care. »
