PRIMAA raises 5 million euros and focuses on ultra-targeted cancer detection

Created in September 2018 by Fanny, Stéphane and Marie Sockeel, PRIMAA, a startup specializing in HealthTech, develops artificial intelligence solutions to improve cancer diagnosis. Its flagship product, Cleo, focuses on three types of cancer: breast, skin and prostate. Unlike general tools, PRIMAA takes a targeted approach that maximizes efficiency and clinical impact.

Cleo uses advanced deep learning algorithms to analyze medical images and detect early anomalies. In collaboration with specialist laboratories such as Medipath, Cleo has been designed to integrate into pathologists’ workflows, providing them with fast and accurate results. This specialization helps to reduce diagnostic times and improve patient care.

PRIMAA’s innovation is based on AI dedicated to precision medicine. The tools developed make it possible to refine diagnoses and detect anomalies that are sometimes invisible to the human eye. The next launch of Cleo Prostate, planned for the end of 2025, illustrates this strategy of targeted diversification to cover specific needs in oncology.

PRIMAA has just finalized a fundraising of 5 million euros from the CENITZ, LEIA CAPITAL and CLERY funds. This funding will be used to accelerate the development of Cleo Prostate and strengthen its analysis capabilities in the field of cancers. These funds will also allow PRIMAA to strengthen its partnerships with European medical centers and laboratories.

PRIMAA had raised 2 million euros in October 2019 from the Ambition Amorchage Angels Fund (F3A), managed by Bpifrance on behalf of the State as part of the Future Investment Program (PIA), Entrepreneurs Investis (entrepreneurs’ fund), 50 Partners (startup accelerator), Angels Santé (first European network of business angels in health) and renowned business angels, in addition to non-dilutive financing.
