The Bigorre Isaby Lions Club is offering a breast cancer screening awareness evening with conferences and workshops in Tarbes.
On November 20 from 6 p.m., the Bigorre Isaby Lions Club is organizing an evening to prevent breast cancer at the Les Jardins d’Occitanie residence (rue Kléber in Tarbes).
“Through our actions, we try to respond to the needs of local and international communities, in particular with a film screening in Lannemezan for the benefit of the victims of Valence,” explains Pierre Sempé, president of the Bigorre Isaby Lions Club. “We have chosen to dedicate the evening of November 20 to the prevention of breast cancer, because it is essential to detect the signs early. Preventing the disease in its early stages is better than curing it. This is why we are organizing a conference (other conferences will follow) on ‘Breast Cancer Screening’ at 6 p.m., led by radiologist and acupuncturist Rita Eyremandi Thanks to her experience, she will provide important information for detecting cancer. At 7 p.m., volunteers from the Cancer League will be available to the public for a self-examination workshop.
From theory to practice, everything is planned to prevent breast cancer. And parents can come with complete peace of mind: the Les Jardins d’Occitanie residence and the Bigorre Isaby Lions Club have provided daycare for children.
Everything is in place for this breast cancer prevention evening, open to all and free to participate for the benefit of the League Against Cancer.
