In Quimper, free kits to stop smoking

The month of November, which is synonymous with “No Tobacco Month”, returns for its 9th edition to support smokers who want to quit. Public Health is launching the challenge to motivated people. The campaign focuses on the benefits of completely giving up smoking rather than the risks associated with its consumption, in a spirit of kindness.

The Cornouaille Local Health Contract (CLS) provides for the implementation of 21 actions. The goal is to promote favorable behaviors throughout life. With this in mind, Bretagne Ouest, in partnership with the city of Quimper, is carrying out prevention actions during the month of November.

Free support kits available

Thus, residents are encouraged to sign up for the “No Tobacco Month” challenge. Free stopping kits are available at the reception of the town hall and the Agglomeration, but also in the annexed town halls of Quimper and Quimper Western . The kit is made up of four elements, including a “40-day program” booklet, a “savings wheel” allowing you to visualize the savings made when stopping, a “tools” leaflet and a “health professionals” leaflet.

Practical

An information stand, run by the tobacco team, will be set up on Thursday November 21, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the hall of the Cornouaille hospital center.
