Tuesday evening, the Les Sardines bar presented a check for €350 to Hermeline Delepouve, communications director of the François-Baclesse center in , and Géraldine Payen, in charge of donations.

On the occasion of Pink October, a breast cancer awareness campaign, Les Sardines offered « a non-alcoholic cocktail, part of the proceeds of which were intended for the François-Baclesse center »explains Geoffray Frémin, owner of the Les Sardines bar. This is the first year that this bar on Quai Vendeuvre is mobilizing but the objective is “ to perpetuate the operation next year and try to bring together other bars ».

After this mobilization, Les Sardines tackle Movember (contraction of mustache and November), a movement which aims to raise awareness of men’s health. « Friday the 8th November, LC Barber shop (hairdresser-barber in Caen) will offer mustache and beard sizes at 10 € whose revenues will be donated to the François-Baclesse center. We will also offer the Movember, a non-alcoholic cocktail at €6.50 (non-alcoholic gin, lime, chestnuts, apples, soda) of which part of the proceeds will supplement the donation. When we offer these cocktails and we explain that part of the recipe is intended for Baclesse, customers adhere . »

For Hermeline Delepouve and Géraldine Payen, the stakes of these operations are twofold. “ It helps raise funds and raise awareness among young people. »

Friday November 8, from 8 p.m., at the Les Sardines bar, 28, quai Vendeuvre. Movember evening with mustache and beard trimming for €10.
