To prevent the risk of falls with age, the Mutualité française Nouvelle-Aquitaine is organizing, in Nérac, four free workshops intended for seniors over 60, on November 7, 14, 21 and 28, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. 30 (1). Called “P’ à chute”, they will take place at the Samazeuilh center, Antoine-de-Bourbon room.

Falls are the leading cause of accidental death among seniors, say the organizers. The risk of it occurring increases with age. Among others, the causes can be: too cluttered rooms, faulty lighting, slippery floors, insufficient nutrition or even low physical activity.

Workshop speakers will thus raise awareness among seniors about the effects of aging. The participants will be actors, accompanied by a prevention professional, a musician, a photographer, a dietician and a dancing osteopath.

Following these sessions, they will leave with numerous tips and tricks to preserve their senses and, also, to arrange and secure their interior. L
