The Portet Rotary Club is organizing a charity concert on Thursday, November 7 at 8:30 p.m. to benefit breast cancer research, at the Saint-Pierre des Cuisines de Toulouse auditorium.
Since its founding in 1988, the club has worked mainly in the field of health, in accordance with the objectives of Rotary International, whose flagship action has been the almost definitive elimination of poliomyelitis in the world, thanks to vaccination campaigns. also, in 2022, training in cardiac massage for the Portet population, then for 3rd grade students from Jean Jaurès college.
This year, as a continuation of Pink October, the club is supporting the INSERM unit in which Professor Charlotte Vaysse, surgical oncologist at Oncopole, works, whose research focuses on the tumor microenvironment, the characterization of circulating tumor cells which enable early detection of metastases and resistance to treatments in the most aggressive breast cancers.
The program for this quality charity concert was chosen by the musicians of the Philharmonia Tolosa orchestra, conducted by David Godfroid, and the singers of the Toulouse symphony choir: Hungarian dance by Brahms, Beethoven’s 7th symphony, Mozart’s Requiem.
