For the designer, Doctor Westerlinck, “theThe Cancer Risk Calculator allows each user to receive a personalized assessment of their general cancer risk as well as specific risks for 56 types of cancer, including 18 subtypes. Thanks to the analysis of nearly 790 risk factors from the scientific literature, “the application provides estimates on lifetime risk as well as over 10, 20 and 30 year periods”he adds.

More and more Belgians are having a recurrence of this cancer: “It is essential that people know their skin and check the signs of change.”

In addition to estimating the risk of developing cancer, the application also integrates the probability of death for each type of cancer, thus providing a comprehensive view of health risks.

A rigorous and detailed scientific resource

The app doesn’t just provide numbers. Indeed, each risk factor is accompanied by in-depth analysis and detailed references, guaranteeing information based on solid scientific evidence. Additionally, the app integrates 211 validated risk models, providing users with the ability to compare different approaches and better understand their personal risks.
