Millau. An evening of support in favor of the fight against Charcot disease

In continuation of the communication actions on Charcot’s disease, undertaken by Arnaud Trémolet and his wife since June 2023, the Poly’Songs choir, with the support of the City of Millau and that of the Maison du Peuple, is at initiative of a charity evening in favor of the ARSLA (Association for Research on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), on Wednesday May 15 at 8:45 p.m. at the Maison du Peuple.

As a reminder, Charcot disease is five new cases per day, as many deaths, an average life expectancy of three to five years, 7,000 reported cases, with an average age at which the disease begins around 62 years.

It is the best known rare disease and one of the cruelest in the world according to the WHO.

The ARSLA association was founded in 1985 and is behind the creation of all ALS centers. It funds research, but also equipment that it makes available to patients for better management of their illness.

In addition to the Poly’songs choir, many artists volunteered for this evening. This is how you will be able to successively applaud the young dancers from the schoolAgnès PéladanTHE Ukulele Social Club of the MJC of Millau with a repertoire of songs from the 60s, “ Itching powder », vocal ensemble dedicated to militant, smiling and offbeat songs, Johanne Charlebois in an improvised dance solo inspired by Pina Bauch, the eight dancing actresses of the Cie Agua Por Favor in a choreographic piece, “Rhizome”, and the seven singers of Berges Folles who will liven up the intermission in the hall, with an acoustic and festive repertoire of world music.

Admission will be free, but free participation will appeal to your generosity and support for ARSLA. It is recommended to arrive a little early, as reservations are not offered.
