In recent years, food supplements have been widely consumed, whether to limit hair loss or to be in better shape. A subject that inspired Jean-Michel Cohen since he recently released the book Food supplements, make the right choice!. The opportunity to learn more about the famous capsules which have found their way into the daily lives of many French people. “You have products which, roughly speaking, are useless and others which are extremely well composed“, he told journalists from TV Magazine.

His research allowed him to change his mind about food supplements. Jean-Michel Cohen is himself a consumer, since he takes capsules to boost his magnesium levels.

However, Jean-Michel Cohen warns that certain supplements can be dangerous. Like those which contain “vitamin E which, in large doses, is implicated in the birth of diseases, and vitamin B3“. Also be careful of those that contain additives, colorings or preservatives. Finally, he quickly clarified that it was useless to take them in order to lose weight. “There is perhaps hope around a product which is bitter orange peel which contains gymnemic acid which seems to accelerate energy metabolism“, he added.

After which, Jean-Michel Cohen revealed his secret to staying in shape. I don’t do a lot of diets, sometimes in sequences. I rarely have breakfast and the midday meal is quite frugal: two slices of white bread, tuna, tomato and from time to time fruit compote. And a good meal in the eveningI go out quite a bit often at restaurants and I allow myself to drink wine“, he revealed. At the same time, he is engaged in four or five sports sessions per week.

A whole program that should not please the most gourmands. Except evenings at the restaurant.
