Adopting the right facial care routine is essential to fight against skin aging. But the fight against the appearance of wrinkles also takes place on the plate. Certain foods allow us to cultivate young and beautiful skin for longer, like salmon for example which would nourish the production of internal collagen. And it’s not the only dish that is good for us. In a video published on his Instagram account this Saturday, April 27, nutritionist Jérémy Menet looks at anti-aging nutrition and reveals to us what to put on the menu to delay the appearance of the signs of aging. “What you eat has a direct impact on the appearance of your skin”explains the expert.

Anti-aging: what should you eat to fight against skin aging?

Jérémy Menet lists the 3 types of anti-aging foods to add to your daily plate to fight against skin aging. His first advice is to “consume quality oils” : for cooking, “olive oil, or even coconut oil once in a while” and for cold salad dressings and seasonings, “walnut, rapeseed or linseed oils. » The expert explains: “Having this intake of quality fats will bring suppleness to your skin, which is good for fighting against wrinkles. I am fine too allow you to have quality sebum, which limits the appearance of wrinkles and impurities ». The nutritionist also recommends protecting your skin from the sun through your diet, by consuming “a maximum of orange-colored pigments, called carotenoids”.

Is the “found in all foods that have orange flesh: carrots, butternuts, pumpkins, mangoes, apricots and even peaches”. Please note, diet does not absolutely replace the use of sunscreen. Before any exposure, it is essential to protect yourself from UV rays with a good SPF. But it can still be a real anti-aging ally. To slow down the aging of the skin, Jérémy Menet finally recommends filling your plate with anti-oxidants, “molecules which will repair tissues, particularly skin tissues”. For this, it is important “to consume 3 fruits per day: 3 different fruits, French, local and seasonal”. You should also eat “2 servings of vegetables per day, one of which is eaten raw”. Finally, Jérémy Mener concludes: “And a really cool anti-oxidant habit is eating two squares of dark chocolate a day.”.
