“One of the craziest Golf moments I’ve ever experienced.” It is with these words that the American golfer described what happened to him this week. Last year, the American, twice career US Open winner, published a video in which he attempted a one-shot over his villa, located in Texas. The pro finally succeeded in his bet, after 16 days and 134 attempts.
At the start of the year, DeChambeau showed generosity. He challenged an amateur, Jimmy Elliot, to attempt the stunt he had achieved a few months earlier. If the fan took up the challenge, DeChambeau offered $100,000.
To everyone’s surprise, Elliot not only won the challenge, but he did so after his…fifth try. An exceptional performance, which was duly celebrated by DeChambeau, who threw himself into the arms of his partner of the day.
“It’s incredible. Thanks to Bryson, it changes my life. It’s as good as my wedding day, but don’t tell my wife,” the amateur joked after his incredible stunt.
