Tiger Woods and his son Charlie will begin the PNC Championship Saturday morning on the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club course alongside his compatriot Justin Leonard and his son Luke.
5 months after his missed cut in The Open at Troon, Tiger Woods will return to the clubs this weekend. Unfortunately the player who will celebrate his 49th birthday in a few days is not to face the best players in the world in a major tournament but in order to participate in the PNC Championshipa doubles event where major winners (man or woman) are associated with a member of their family.
For his 5th participation with his son Charliethe Tiger will start on Saturday at 4:44 p.m. (French time) and the two men will share their game with the winner of The Open in 1997, Justin Leonard flanked by his son Luke.
After declaring a few years ago “not feeling able to compete in an official competition”, Tiger will still try to do better than last year when he and his son placed 5th. In 2021 both men finished second despite an exceptional 57 on Sunday.
