Daniel Berger posted a 63 in the third round of the RSM Classic, the last tournament of the FedEx Cup Fall season, to climb onto the podium and enter the provisional top 125 necessary to retain his full playing rights next season. His American compatriots Maverick McNealy and Vince Whaley are two shots ahead in the lead. Despite a good 68, Martin Trainer remains stuck around the top 50 while he will certainly have to enter the top 10 on Sunday evening to secure a partial playing right in 2025.

Finally, the defending champion and world number five Ludvig Åberg did not confirm his 64 from the day before with a 71 which pushed him beyond fortieth place.
