As a result of the explosion in the amounts received by professional players on the major circuits, the income of PGA Tour caddies is increasing sharply.
In June we discussed the case of cadet of world number 1 (Scottie Scheffler) Ted Scott whose earnings after just 6 months of competition had exceeded 2.5 million dollars.
Paid by percentage like all caddies, Scott benefits from the exceptional results of his player but also from the explosion of Prize Money on the PGA Tour since the emergence of LIV the creation of tournaments with “boosted” prizes.

However, it is not only the Caddy of the two-time Masters winner who has seen his bank account benefit from the prevailing inflation. This is also the case for the Canadiens caddy Ben Silverman, ranked beyond 100th place in the FedEx Cup in 2024.
Bryan Kopsick who has been carrying the bag of the former Korn Ferry Tour player for more than 3 years, made his income for the 2024 season public on social networks.
Despite only one top 10, a 4th place achieved at the Procore Championship a few weeks ago, Kopsick hopes that his protégé will keep his card on the American circuit.
On Monday Kopsick gave the details of what he perceives. His salary consists of 8% of Silverman's earnings along with a flat $2,000 for each tournament.
That’s 25 already this year. In total this season the cadet collected $149,008. This amount does not include costs which must therefore be subtracted. According to him, the cost of a season on the PGA Tour reaches $50,000.
Amounts that can be considered well deserved because Silverman had never managed to win during the 4 years preceding his association with Kopsick. Nearly 18 months later the two men won the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic 2023 sur le KFT. ,
A result which allowed the 36-year-old Canadian player to return for the third time on the PGA Tour.
