'I felt a buzzing, a pain and I fell': Golfer is shot in the head and loses sight in one eye

Lost sight in one eye

“I was struck as I turned towards my cart to put away my club. I immediately felt a buzzing and pain in my head and I fell”the young man indicated at the end of October on social networks.

Jeffrey Guan was immediately treated by emergency services and transported to Sydney Hospital to receive treatment. Unfortunately, more than a month after the accident, the young player permanently lost his sight.

A career that continues

Although he has experienced difficult weeks, the 20-year-old golfer does not lose hope of being able to continue his career in this sport. “As a child, I always had a lot of perseverance and tenacity. During my nights in the hospital, I almost drowned myself in thoughts about the injury I had suffered and my future in the sport of golf which became my career. This has been the most difficult time of my life, but I am mentally stronger and will be ready to overcome any obstacle in the future. I will continue to work hard and do my best to achieve my dream.”declared the professional.
