Author of a good performance this Friday with a solid 67 (-5), Robin Sciot-Siegrist moved back into the top 15. But the left-hander will have to do even better if he wants to return to the DP World Tour next year.

PLANETE: What are your feelings about this day completed in 67 (-5)?

Robin SCIOT-Siegrist: It's a good day. I managed the return (outward journey) well, passing -4. There were two bogeys on the way out but I still played well. I was perhaps a little further from the flags. But overall it's a good day of golf.

GP: What made the difference compared to your 72 (par) the day before?

R. S-G. : Yesterday, on the four par 5s, I played +1 even though there are three that you can hit in two. While it is on these holes that we must seek points. I also made a lot more small errors, you could see it on my card with a double and three bogeys, it was going a bit in all directions. It was just more solid today. I'm very happy but I still have work to do.

If I have to warm up at some point, I have to go all out

GP: You have moved up the rankings, do you feel capable of returning to the top 5?

R. S-G. : That's my goal anyway. I think I even have to go for a top 3 or even a top 2 with the ties. I'm trying to be a little more aggressive even if I think overall the strategy is good. I know that I have to really go for the top of the rankings, so if I have to heat up at one point, I have to go all out.

GP: You had a very good result here in 2019 with a second place. Does it help you mentally knowing that you have performed on this course before?

R. S-G. : It's true that these are great memories even if I finished one place short of the climb (he had obtained his PQ3 card the following week). It sure gives me a little confidence coming here. But I find that the course is extremely different, it is easier. It's softer and the wind blows in a better direction. -17 and -15 after two laps, it was impossible to see that before…
