The 46 best players on the Road to Mallorca will meet on Thursday for the season finale on the Alcanada track in Mallorca. Among them, six French people are in the race to access the DP World Tour.

As in the last two years, the magnificent Alcanada Club in the north east of the island of Mallorca will host the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final from Thursday to Sunday. This par 72 could put players in difficulty, especially if the wind gets involved. This should be the case again this year. Temperatures should be mild but heavy rain is also expected for a good part of the week.

Although this final is not the best-endowed tournament of the year with its €500,000 prize money, it offers the most points to the Road to Mallorca (4000 points compared to 2000 points usually). As a result, with 640 points for the winner, all participants can still secure the top 22 overall, synonymous with full category on the DP World Tour in 2025.

The top 22 and not the top 20 because two players have already ensured their presence on the DP World thanks to their performances on the main circuit: Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen (2nd overall) and Robin Williams (10th overall). If the South African will not play in Mallorca this week, the first named will try to win the order of merit by surpassing John Parry. His presence opened the door for a 46th player in the field.

Six French people will be at the start: Alexander Levy (12th in the order of merit), Benjamin Hebert (13e), Pierre Pineau (18e), Martin Couvrera (19e), Felix Mory (26e) and Robin Sciot Siegrist (30e).

They are guaranteed to rise

Alexander Levy et Benjamin Hebert have done the work this year to regain their playing rights in the elite of European golf. Indeed, the two Tricolores can no longer leave the qualifying places. While they haven't won an event, they have recorded six and eight top 10 finishes respectively in 2024.

Conversely, the two men, separated by only two points, can no longer finish in first place. A victory would ensure them a place in the top 5, a position which makes it easier to enter certain tournaments, particularly the first Rolex Series.

They're on the right side of the cut

Pierre Pineau et Martin Couvrera have their destiny in hand for the moment. They would have to be overtaken by five or four players to lose their card on the DP World Tour. A more than possible scenario since the point differences are very small. By finishing in the top 5, they would mathematically ensure their place in the top 22, in the majority of cases, a top 10 will be sufficient.

They need a good week

Conversely, Felix Mory et Robin Sciot Siegrist must obtain a big result to enter the qualifying places. They hope to imitate Tom Vaillant et Fred Lacroix who were in exactly the same situation last year before taking their place on the podium.

After his good result in China, the Northerner came back to within 40 points of 22nd, Nicolai von Dellingshausen. In an extreme case, a top 15 could be enough for him, but he should rather aim for a top 5 to have a lighter mind. For Robin Sciot Siegristwho finished 42nd here in 2022, a top 5 would also be decisive.
