Every day has its own leader.

After the English David Fur and the American Beau Hosslerit’s the Tennessee player’s turn Keith Mitchell to take the lead in the second FedEx Fall tournament in Mississippi.

By signing a card of 65 thanks to two excellent birdies on his last two holes Mitchell reached the mark of -20, thus equaling the tournament record after three rounds.

He also took advantage of the errors on the return of the two best-placed men mid-tournament.

Daniel Berger who had not made a mistake in 45 holes recorded 4 bogeys in 5 holes from 10. His round of 33 had however left him in the wake of Beau Hossler with whom he shared the last part.

Leader at -18, the Californian also inexplicably lost control of his nerves at 12 by conceding a double bogey 100 meters from the full fairway hole. His three-putt from less than 1m50 is an enigma.

Hossler, who managed to rectify the situation with 3 birdies on the last third of the course, remains in the race to win his first victory on the PGA Tour at 29 years old but there is no shortage of contenders for the title. In fact, 6 players are standing in 4 shots and on this very scoreable course (1486 birdies since the start of the week) a comeback remains possible.

Paul Barjon at the relaunch

Betrayed by his putter the day before, Frenchman Paul Barjon found some color on the greens on Saturday with nearly 32 meters of putts made in 18 holes.

He started his 3rd round with three birdies in 5 holes before making 4 other birdies over the last 6 holes. Unfortunately two bogeys, at 11 (a par 5) and 18, tarnished his great performance. In the rankings his card of 67 allows him to gain 24 places and settle in 31st place before the last round.

Projected 176th in the FedEx Cup, the player trained in New Caledonia must at all costs continue his rise in the rankings on Sunday in order to make significant progress overall.

Remember that only the first 125 at the end of the last tournament (RSM Classic) at the end of November will retain full playing rights on the PGA Tour in 2025.
