Among the 27 French players present on the Léry-Poses course in Eure, only 15 players managed to complete their first round before nightfall on Tuesday.

8 Frenchmen played in par or better on Tuesday for the first stage of the PQ1 organized in . Interrupted by darkness after being delayed by rain, the first round will continue this Wednesday on the Golf de Léry-Poses which hosts this event for the first time.

This is the 19 year old, 1m95 (!) amateur David Guyot who got off to the best start among the representatives of French golf with a score of 67.

In the other qualifier organized this week at Horsens Golf Club in Denmark It’s off to a good start for Islander Julien Sale, who scored 63!

Perrier and Poncelet first qualified

7 events of this first stage have already been completed throughout Europe (Italy, England, Sweden, Austria) and to date two French people have secured their ticket for PQ2. Damien Perrier in Italy and Xavier Poncelet in Austria.

Paul Margolis, Tom Guéant, Clément Charmarsson, Nathan Trey, Paul Franquet, Théo Brizard, Clément Guichard, Romain Guillon, Aaron Van Hauwe, Thomas Dorier, however, remained at the dock.

At the end of these four days of competition, around twenty players will have qualified for the PQ2 which will be held between October 31 and November 3 at four locations in Spain: Almeria (Desert Springs Resort), Huelva (Ilsa Canela Links), Albacete (Golf Las Pinaillas) and Gerona (Fontanals Golf Club). The grand finale (PQ3) will take place from November 8 to 13, still in Spain, at Tarragona on the Infinitum Golf Lakes.
