The player is already rewarded for his great first American season by becoming one of the four players nominated for the title of “Rookie of the Year”.

The PGA Tour revealed Monday evening the names of the four players in the running for l’Arnold Palmer Award : Nick Dunlap, Max Greyserman, Jake Knapp and Matthieu Pavon.

Nick Dunlap caused a sensation by becoming the first player to win an American Tour event in the same season as an amateur and professional.

Max Greyserman finished second three times and three other times in the top 10, making 19 cuts in 26 tournaments.

Jake Knapp won the Mexico Open and had three other top 10 finishes, while making 17 cuts in 23 tournaments.

The cream of the crop

Matthew Pavon had an almost immediate impact by becoming Farmers Insurance Open the first Frenchman to impose himself on the PGA Tour. He recorded three more top 10s, including a fifth place at l’US Open. The Bordeaux player was also the only rookie to qualify for the Tour Championship before finishing 17th in the FedEx Cup. In total, he made 15 cuts in 19 tournaments.

The lucky winner will be elected by the members of the PGA Tour who have participated in at least 15 tournaments this year by December 4, and the winner will be announced before the end of the year.
