The 28th edition of the Claretain College Foundation Golf tournament was held last Friday, September 20 at the Laurier Golf Club in Princeville.
An amount of $29,500 was raised during this record edition in terms of registrations. No less than 137 golfers took part this year.
This year, the co-chairmanship was ensured by David Garand and his sons, Marc-Antoine, Cédric and Olivier, all three alumni of the college. Mr. Garand was all smiles during his welcome remarks before departure: “Being honorary co-president with my three sons is a great honor and concludes in a beautiful way our 11 years spent at the college, a passage which will have brought them good foundations, both educationally and in terms of values. Getting involved with the College Foundation is a great way to give back and allow other young people to experience the Claretian effect! »
Several former students were present and happy to see each other again and to meet some members of the college staff.
For dinner, the “all-you-can-eat poutine” formula was back, always in memory of Brother Joseph. Draws linked to games on certain holes made it possible to make some people happy.
Mr. Garand wanted to highlight the presence of young college graduates; their participation being essential to ensure the perpetuity of the tournament.
