I’m not having a great season and I’m trying not to think about the rankings. It blocks me more than anything else. It’s nice to see that I can score well just trying to have fun.

On the course I really felt good. This is the right mentality to have to score. I feel good here. We are in France, in front of our audience. Lacoste is also my sponsor. Plus my mom is here and she caddied for me today. It allowed me to relax between holes by talking about something other than golf. It was also a great moment of sharing because we don’t see each other that often during the season. This score of 66 feels good and it would be good to continue. Last year, I also started well but finished 18th. I hope to finish better on Saturday afternoon after this good start.»

Kirsten Ridgeley joins the lead at the end of the day
