The images are chilling. dying mice in a trash can in the bakery area, others rodent corpses and lots of droppings on the pastry side, not to mention the presence of mold on worktops and even on loaves of bread waiting to be baked.
This is the unsavoury discovery made by agents of the Departmental Directorate for the Protection of Populations of Val-d’Oise (Ddpp 95) during a health check carried out within the E.Leclerc supermarket located in the Parisis shopping center in Franconville (Val-d’Oise). Following the inspection of their agents, the Val-d’Oise prefecture announced the administrative closure of bakery, butcher, sandwich shop, rotisserie and sushi preparation workshops of the sign.
Several violations noted
In their report, the Ddpp inspectors noted several offenses : dirty and pest-infested premises, dirty and poorly maintained equipment and materials, good hygiene practices not respected.
“Due to these shortcomings and because of the risk of contamination or development of micro-organisms and food poisoning, the workshops concerned have been closed,” specifies the Val-d’Oise prefecture.
The closure measure will be lifted as soon as the establishment meets current standards.
