By just 2″16, Alexandre Léauté won gold on Wednesday, on the Clichy-sous-Bois time trial course, in the C2 category of the Paralympic Games. The Frenchman, who thus won his third medal in Paris 2024, after the gold in the pursuit and the bronze in the C1-C3 track time trial, beat the Belgian Ewoud Vromant by 2″16 and the Australian Darren Hicks, the defending champion, by 15″63. Léauté’s medal is the 40th for the Blues, who had won 54 (11 gold, 15 silver, 28 bronze) in Japan three years ago.
