What are the twelve emblematic sites selected in New Aquitaine?

In six years, by collecting more than 155 million euros, it has helped more than 950 sites for their restoration work, including more than 125 emblematic regional heritage projects and more than 835 departmental sites (one site per metropolitan department and overseas community). Today, more than 70% of them have already been saved: 370 have been completed and 280 projects are in progress.

Twelve sites in danger

More than 6,300 sites at risk have been reported on the platform, including 790 in 2024. Around a hundred of them have been selected for this edition, including a dozen in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

– The Sablanceaux redoubt in Rivedoux-Plage (Charente-Maritime)

– The accommodation of the rural complex of the Rivière in Saint-Éloy-les-Tuileries (Corrèze)

– The dovecote-porch of the castle in Arfeuille-Châtain (Creuse)

– The former hospital commandery in Condat-sur-Vézère (Dordogne)

The amount of the grant for each site will be announced at the end of the year. The amounts of the grants awarded to the 18 regional emblematic sites will be known during the next European Heritage Days, on 20, 21 and 22 September 2024.
