Saudi Pro League (J2): Al-Hilal and Al-Qadsiah for confirmation, Al-Nassr for redemption

Saudi Arabia Football: The second day of the Saudi Pro League will be played between Tuesday, August 27 and Thursday, August 29 with objectives that differ from one team to another. If Al-Hilal and Al-Qadsiah want to confirm their successful start, Al-Nassr must redeem itself at all costs against Al-Feiha.

Held to a 1-1 draw at home by Al-Raed on the first day, Al-Nassr will try to get back on their feet against Al-Feiha this Tuesday at the King Abdullah Stadium in Buraydah. The team from the Saudi capital is approaching this match with its back to the wall after the resignation of its president Ibrahim Al-Muhaidib. The Portuguese coach, Luis Castro, is not unanimous among the supporters and a new misstep could definitively seal his future.

Opposite, Al-Feiha also finds itself in a bad situation after its defeat against Al-Taawoun (1-0) and the controversial exit of its Greek coach Christos Kontis who openly criticized the management for its passivity during the summer transfer window. Two other matches are scheduled for this Tuesday: Al-Fateh receives Al-Ahli in Al-Ahsaa while Al Qadsiah travels to Al-Raed in Buraydah.

Al Qadsiah and Al-Hilal want to continue on the same path

Al Qadsiah, who have taken good care of their return to the elite, want to follow up with a second success. José Miguel González will have at his disposal his new Gabonese recruit, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who served his suspension match against Al-Fateh (3-0) last week. A major reinforcement for the club’s offensive line which has been very active during the summer transfer window.

Al-Hilal, who are well on their way to retaining their crown, are not prepared to waste easy points and are looking to secure a second straight win against Damac. The club are unbeaten in 37 league games and are still in search of Al-Ahli’s record of 55 games without a loss between August 2014 and February 2016.
