Pascale de la Tour du Pin reframes Yann Moix and Éric Naulleau in her new show on C8

WE LOOKED FOR YOU – In “Pascale, Éric, Yann and the others”, the journalist arbitrates social issues in a staging resembling a presidential debate between the two rounds.

A busy return for Pascale de la Tour du Pin. The former BFMTV journalist started last Friday on Europe 1. With “Europe 1 Soir – Week-end”, she is on air between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. the last three days of the week.

This Tuesday, September 3, she returns to the small screen with the premiere of the show “Pascale, Éric, Yann et les autres”. Unlike “PAF”, her talk show from last year, Pascale de la Tour du Pin no longer surrounds herself with a team of columnists but with the duo formed by Éric Naulleau and Yann Moix, whom she “does not present”. As for the expression “to others” in the name of the program, it refers to possible replacements if one or the other cannot honor their daily appointment on C8.

Each one has its own buzzer

The trio debates social issues, live. Today, the wearing of uniforms at school and the decision of Arcom to suspend the frequency of the TNT channel. Pascale de la Tour du Pin, Éric Naulleau and Yann Moix are each equipped with a buzzer to first express their opinion. Blue if they agree, red if they are opposed. Then comes the debate where, one after the other, they present their arguments. The show is also intended to be interactive with a brief participation of the public in the votes and regular calls for viewers to comment on their social networks.

On the wearing of the uniform, Éric Naulleau has “1950s nostalgia” while Yann Moix “hope that France will keep some scars from May 68”. The two columnists enjoy confronting each other. Almost a caricature of a political debate between the two rounds. The debates are illustrated by extracts from reports, from BFMTV and mainly from CNews, the Vivendi group’s news channel.

We cannot make this type of comparison.

Pascale from the Tour du Pin

For the second subject, everyone agrees on the set of “Pascale, Éric, Yann et les autres” to affirm that the decision of Arcom is a “attack on freedom of expression”. The program unsurprisingly rebroadcasts Cyril Hanouna’s speech last night, where the host of “Touche pas à mon poste” stated that he was going to file a complaint against the Audiovisual and Digital Communication Regulatory Authority.

The numerous reprimands from the audiovisual policeman are only provoked in the event of a report from the public. For Yann Moix, “as in dictatorships, denunciation is always welcome”, “or in certain periods of French history”adds Eric Naulleau. “You go far”tempers Pascale de la Tour du Pin who then asks her columnists to withdraw their respective assertions in order to remain “respectful” towards Arcom. “We cannot make this type of comparison”insists the journalist.
