Paramount Pictures unveils the first trailer for August 27 Sonic 3expected in theaters on December 25.
Sonic, the most famous hedgehog on the planet is back. Paramount Pictures, which produces the films based on the famous Sega video games, unveiled this Tuesday, August 27, the first trailer for the third installment of the franchise.
In this new blockbuster expected in theaters on December 25, and inspired by the video game Sonic Adventure 2, Keanu Reeves lends his voice to the character of Shadow the Hedgehog, the big baddie, as announced by the Hollywood Reporter last April.
Old enemy
Idris Elba also lends his voice to the character of Knuckles, while Jim Carey reprises his role as Dr. Robotnik, an old enemy who became an ally in the fight against Shadow. And it’s still Ben Schwartz who voices Sonic. In the French version, it’s Malik Bentalha who lends his voice to the hedgehog.
A video game character born in Japan in 1991, Sonic became a movie hero in 2020 with Sonic the Hedgehog Moviea mix of animation and live action. With $315 million in worldwide box office receipts, it was given a sequel released two years later, which was also a success. The third installment, like the previous ones, will be directed by Jeff Fowler.
