Since Thursday evening, August 29, a young man on vacation in the Jura has been missing after a pedal boat trip with friends to Lake Vouglans. This Monday, gendarmes from Jura, Doubs and Côte-d’Or have again deployed significant resources to find the missing person. Despite the use of more powerful sonar, allowing for more in-depth underwater searches, as well as the use of drones, no body has been found. Divers and sonarists worked on an area of 15,000 m2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., in vain.
On the banks this Tuesday, in the lake on Wednesday
“A single dive was carried out to remove any doubts after an interesting imagery return, but this proved unsuccessful,” explained the gendarmerie. Navigation on the lake and searches along the banks will resume this Tuesday. In terms of the investigation, the gendarmes are continuing their investigations in order to determine precisely the precise circumstances of this disappearance. According to the gendarmes, new dives are planned for Wednesday.
