Sonic the Hedgehog 3 the movie finally shows itself before its theatrical release with an explosive trailer. The blue hedgehog, Tails and Knuckles are ready to fight a new threat.
Sonic the Hedgehog movie was a pleasant surprise. After the outcry over the blue hedgehog’s design, everyone expected a real disaster. But in the end, the feature film is rather entertaining and is not one of those absolutely horrible adaptations. At the global box office, it was a big hit with more than $319 million collected for a budget of $58 million. Its sequel did even better by bringing in more than $405 million while it only cost about $72 million to produce. A business that is rolling and that should still make Paramount Pictures and SEGA’s accounts.

Given the success of the blue hedgehog on the big screen, Paramount Pictures didn’t take long to make Sonic the Hedgehog the Movie official. Normally, it would have competed with Avatar 3, but the latter has been postponed to December 17, 2025. SEGA’s mascot will therefore have free rein and invites fans, both old and young, to discover the new adventure in theaters from December 25, 2024. A first trailer for this new film has finally been released, and it looks promising!
Unsurprisingly, we find the trio composed of the blue hedgehog, Tails and Knuckles who will have to face a threat still unknown to them: Shadow. And for that, the gang will not hesitate to go knock on Dr. Robotnik’s door to ask for help. « Sonic, Knuckles and Tails find themselves facing a new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious and powerful enemy with unprecedented powers. As we can see in the first trailer, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will take place in London. The original cast, including James Marsden and the great Jim Carrey, will be back for this episode. The legendary Keanu Reeves, who is currently breaking everything in Prime Video releases with John Wick 4, is the new recruit for this installment. He will play Shadow.
