Civil Protection issued a warning today regarding the weather conditions expected this afternoon, Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
thunderstorm cells accompanied by rain are expected in the northwest and center-west and locally in the east of the country.
These weather conditions are expected on Wednesday and will be marked by temporarily stormy rains in the North, locally in the Center and in certain regions of southern Tunisia.
Heavy rains are expected on Wednesday afternoon in the western regions with precipitation between 20 and 40 millimeters and hail. A strong wind will blow and exceed 90 km/h which could cause a rise in water levels in several wadis and the accumulation of water on some roads.
Faced with these dangers and risks, civil protection has recommended that citizens stay away from wadis, avoid crossing waterways, secure objects likely to fly away, and follow the instructions of local authorities to ensure their safety and that of their property.
