Specialized firefighters come to his aid

A fall from a height of seven meters. A worker fell in the middle of the day on Monday, September 2, 2024 on one of the Toulouse sites of the aircraft manufacturer Airbus. The accident, the circumstances of which are still unclear, took place at the Jean-Luc Lagardère factory in Blagnac, which houses the assembly line for the A320 range of aircraft.

Eleven firefighters from Haute-Garonne were mobilized for this intervention. And in particular the specialized GRIMP team, the intervention group in dangerous environments. Indeed, according to our colleagues from the Dépêche du Midi, after his fall, the worker found himself stuck in a pit.

The man, who was slightly injured, was taken to hospital by medical and rescue teams.

This is the second incident on an Airbus site in the space of 24 hours. This Sunday, September 1, 2024, a fire broke out in part of the Saint-Éloi workshops, in the center of Toulouse.
