Lady Gaga Returns to Blonde Hair and Kisses Fiancé Michael Polansky While Arriving in Venice

Lady Gaga once sang, “I’m as free as my hair,” and in recent weeks, she might be feeling quite free if her hair color changes are any indication.

The “Die with a Smile” singer, 38, arrived to the Venice Film Festival on Monday, Sept. 2, rocking her signature blonde hair, nearly three weeks after she posted a selfie of herself with black hair and bleached brows.

The 13-time Grammy winner, who is at the film festival to promote Joker: Madness for Twotraversed the waterways in Italy on a gondola with fiancé Michael Polansky. They hugged and shared a kiss on the rowing boat and exchanged another kiss when they arrived at the Hotel Cipriani dock.

Lady Gaga’s return to blonde comes just 18 days after she posted a candid photo of her dark hair transformation on Instagram on Aug. 15. She was still sporting the dark locks as recently as six days prior.

A month prior to that drastic reveal, the “Million Reasons” singer sported a platinum blonde hairdo when she performed at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Though Lady Gaga has donned various hair colors throughout her career, she is best known for her blonde hair, which she’s been sporting on-and-off since the music video for her debut single, ”Just Dance,” came out in 2008.

At the Venice Film Festival on Monday, the Oscar winner paired her blonde hair with a short black polka-dot dress with white dots. She completed the look with black sunglasses and high heels.

Meanwhile, her fiancé wore an all-black outfit and casual shoes.
