Richard Alexander Murdaugh, better known as Alex Murdaugh, is the head of the law firm that has been run by his family for several generations. Highly respected, but also feared for the influence and power of his family, Alex does everything to maintain his privileged lifestyle and support his family. At first glance, he leads an ideal life alongside Maggie, his wife, and Paul, his youngest son. But in reality, he hides many secrets. Between opiate addiction, fraud, scams with his clients and family problems, Alex Murdaugh gradually locks himself in a vicious spiral from which he is not about to escape.
After the deaths of Maggie and Paul Murdaugh, reported by Alex Murdaugh himself, the police immediately go to the crime scene. An investigation is opened to discover who is behind this double murder. As the police begin to examine every detail of Alex Murdaugh’s personal and professional life, he tries to cover his tracks by all means.
