teachers, mass distribution, aviation, justice… the finance bill continues to provoke reactions

The participation of the Minister of Higher Education, Patrick Hetzel, in an event organized by the right-wing union UNI sparked reactions

This announcement did not fail to provoke a reaction on social networks. “Here is a minister who does not pretend. It is in front of the UNI that he presents his project, a student union which provides the bridge between the right and the extreme right”commented the first secretary of the Socialist Party (PS), Olivier Faure.

“Stunning and unprecedented. But not surprisingly, my disagreements with Patrick Hetzel are so strong”added Guillaume Gouffier, deputy (Together for the Republic) of Val-de-, recalling his “total opposition” to the minister’s presence at the event.

“Beyond the ideological drift, the UNI is above all ZERO seat on the board of directors of the National Center for University and School Work and 10.5% of the votes in the 2024 student elections. But Patrick Hetzel chooses to make his first outing there… Distressing! »commented, for his part, Iñaki Echaniz, secretary of the National Assembly and PS deputy for Pyrénées-Atlantiques.

“After having given very worrying instructions for academic freedoms, the new Minister of Higher Education allows himself a moment of exchange with the UNI, the far-right union. The message is clear. The university must prepare for the worst »worried the communist senator of Hauts-de-Seine Pierre Ouzoulias.

“It’s too stupid that the GUD was dissolved, he could have made a little detour to go and kiss them too”quipped Laurence Rossignol, PS senator from Val-de-Marne.
