Louis Vuitton opens cafe at London’s Heathrow Airport – Travel News

Dine in style at Louis Vuitton’s new airport cafe.

What comes to mind when you think of airport food? Overpaying for bang average wraps and sandwiches? Well, think again. A Louis Vuitton cafe has just landed at Heathrow Airport in London and while it may be a little exxy it certainly is reshaping people’s perception of airport food by plating up delicious and elevated dishes to travellers in transit.

The dual shop and cafe space is located at Terminal 2, near Gate A17, and is open to the public on a walk-in basis only. French chef Cyril Lignac will be leading Louis Vuitton’s first UK culinary venture. The luxury French fashion house already has more than 20 cafes and restaurants across the globe.

Louis Vuitton‘s Le Cafe Cyril Lignac at Heathrow Airport will be plating up Lignac’s signature dishes that are often a blend of French and international classics. The all-day menu caters to morning and evening travellers. For passengers catching AM flights, freshly made croissants and pain au chocolat and Royal Eggs will be available on the menu. Throughout the day decadent snacks like Croque Monsieur, lobster rolls and crab-avocado salad can be ordered. If you have time to spare table service is available. If you’re in a rush to make your flight opt for counter service.

Naturally, all food items – from pastries, sweets to coffee – will have a signature Louis Vuitton touch. Sweet treats will be in the shape of Louis Vuitton’s iconic flower motif and each dish will be plated up on the brand’s very own tableware that is monogrammed with the signature LV logo.

Those looking to treat themselves to more than just a pastry can head into the Louis Vuitton store, which is connected to the cafe, and shop womenswear and menswear.

Louis Vuitton’s Le Cafe Cyril Lignac is open from 5:30am – 10pm, 7 days a week. For more information, visit eu.louisvuitton.com
