Like other territories in the Jura, the Dole region suffered the consequences of the passage of Storm Kirk through France.
Despite water overflowing in certain neighborhoods, no resident was forced to evacuate their homes according to information provided by the town hall.
In the public domain, six trees fell under the action of the wind: cours St-Mauris, avenue de Lahr, avenue Duhamel, avenue Béthouard, rue Sombardier, and on the road between Dole and Goux.
August storms: in a state of natural disaster
Note that this episode follows the bad weather in August 2024. Homes were notably affected by flooding.
For the two storms of August 1 and 14the municipality was recognized as being in a state of natural disaster, with publication in the Official Journal on September 28.
The inhabitants who suffered from this bad weather therefore until October 28 to contact their insurance and report the damage and/or losses caused by these different episodes.
The recurrence of floods following bad weather can still raise questions about possible preventive measures to be put in place or infrastructure to be improved.
On this point, the City is waiting to have a complete analysis.
In general, studies are still in progress, so it is difficult for the moment to make a financial assessment and discuss possible development projects.
