A young man in his twenties was killed in a traffic accident which occurred on the night of Thursday October 10 to Friday October 11, 2024, on the four lanes (RN165), in the direction Brest – Lorient , near the town of Briec, near Quimper (Finistère). The collision took place around 3 a.m. and the police were called shortly after 3:20 a.m. by a witness to the accident, present at the scene of the tragedy.
Truck versus car
A truck and a car are involved. The deceased victim is “a young man from the area, according to the police, just like the truck driver,” was in the car. The truck driver is shocked.
Traffic closed the rest of the night
Traffic was closed in both directions on the RN 165. Around fifteen firefighters responded to the accident. The expressway was reopened shortly before 7 a.m., and the intervention of emergency services, law enforcement and employees of the Interdepartmental Direction of Western Roads (Diro), ended around 7:30 a.m. The circumstances of this accident are not yet known, the police have opened an investigation.
