A van transporting funds was attacked by at least one criminal armed with a Kalashnikov this Thursday, October 10, 2024 shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Cours Berriat, almost at the corner of Cours Jean-Jaurès in the heart of the city of Grenoble, reports The Dauphiné Libéré.
The closed sector
During the attack, the van caught fire. The criminal(s) have fled and are actively being sought. The police cordoned off the area. The perpetrators acted aboard an unmarked white van whose function is assumed to be to block progress using an armored van and a black Mercedes ML270 which ended up in the middle of the tram tracks. . The unmarked white van was then set on fire by the perpetrator(s) before fleeing.
Two minor injuries
The criminal(s) acted with Kalashnikov-type assault rifles. “There are two minor injuries linked to road accidents caused by the event and by broken glass”added the Grenoble prosecutor in a message to the press.
