Kirk depression passage

Update on Wednesday, October 9 at 5:30 p.m.

Ex-cyclone Kirk is progressing across the national territory. This remarkable meteorological episode is crossing Seine-et- currently causing heavy rain, squalls and floods. The department is on alert for rain, flooding. The Grand Morin downstream section was placed on red flood alert at 4 p.m. State services are mobilized on the ground, resources will be adapted as the situation evolves. The prefect of Seine-et -Marne activated this morning the Departmental Operational Center (COD), a crisis management tool which remains active throughout the duration of this meteorological event in order to coordinate the actions of state services.
