“I will take you with me”: Cyril Hanouna discusses the future of TPMP after the end of the broadcast of C8 on TNT in February

The C8 channel will lose its TNT frequency in February, after the decision of Arcom, which did not reassign it to the Bolloré group channel, of which TPMP is the flagship program. Its star host, Cyril Hanouna, discussed this deadline during the show on Monday, October 7.

Cyril Hanouna spoke this Monday, October 7, about the future of TPMP. While Arcom has not reallocated its TNT frequency to C8, the future of one of Paf’s most watched broadcasts is up in the air.

While the show’s columnist Géraldine Maillet asked about the continuation of events, the host wanted to reassure her: “For now, TPMP is there. Let’s enjoy the moment.”

Cyril Hanouna wanted to reassure the show’s technicians, visibly worried about their fate. I’ll say it again to the technicians. They were a little upset on Friday. […] If I don’t do TV anymore, of course I’ll bring you with me too, we’ll stay at home. […] Know this, if I continue to do TV, it will be a lot for you and for the viewers, because I have fun with them every night. But it’s also to keep all the teams that are there.” reports Leisure TV.

C8 suspended in February

As soon as the show started, Cyril Hanouna launched into diatribes against the regulator, who decided that C8 should leave TNT next year. “TPMP will continue until February, end of February. […] the C8 channel will make numerous appeals so that the decision is not taken”explained the host, recalling that it had not been notified to the Canal + group.

Arcom decided in July 2024 not to renew the frequency of C8 after February 28, which has accumulated 7.6 million euros in fines in eight years for the slip-ups of its headliner.
