While the Golden Owl was found after 31 years of searching in France, another treasure hunt exists. The treasure is located between Haute-Loire and Ardèche. And so far, no one has dug it up yet.
Yann Perrin, a merchant in Chambon-sur-Lignon, hid a treasure worth €3,000 in 2023 within a 20 km radius around his store. This includes Mézenc, Meygal, Sucs, Monistrol, Pays de Montfaucon, northern Ardèche with Saint-Agrève, Lalouvesc.
Between 800 and 900 game boxes sold
To find this chest, simply solve all the puzzles without exception. These puzzles are in a game box sold for €25, available in its tobacconist or on sale on its website. 2000 numbered boxes were manufactured. For the moment, between 800 and 900 boxes have been sold throughout France.
A game deadline
The treasure is well hidden and so far, no one has unlocked the secret. A deadline has been set to find the treasure: December 26, 2028. So far, six clues have been published. “A big clue is coming on October 15,” says Yann Perrin, who intends to win the game. “I won’t wait 31 years!”
He is eager to learn more about the discovery of the Golden Owl. “I released my game for the 30th anniversary of the Golden Owl. It’s incredible that the treasure was found. My game is slightly inspired by the format and a few bits of clues but it remains different.”
A sword to win candy
At the same time, in a simpler way, a sword can be found. By taking a photo of yourself next to it, you can win a packet of sweets by going to the Chambon store. “I have received around 200 children since the launch. They always please.”
