The 48-year-old said with subtlety at the press conference before the game against preseason promoted Heidenheim that it would be “tight for the Rose” if they lost. It is unclear whether the coach will actually be up for debate in the event of a bankruptcy.

Nevertheless, Schmidt showed great respect for the guests from Saxony. He said about the strike duo Openda/Sesko: “Perhaps the best the Bundesliga has to offer.” And about the squad in general: “RB is a top team that will really challenge us.”
