NRJ recruits Camille Combal “a few weeks” for its 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

NRJ had promised announcements, there were not many. This Monday evening, Jean-Paul Baudecroux’s audiovisual group invited its advertising clients and the press to the Grand Rex in . Objective: to unveil the upcoming season of its television and radio channels. A return to school which takes place in a particular climate. In July 2024, the broadcaster learned of Arcom’s decision not to renew the DTT frequency of NRJ 12, its flagship of the TV center created in 2005.

An “incomprehensible decision” according to Maryam Salehi, deputy director of the group, who intends to use “all avenues of appeal” to have it annulled. The case is now before the Council of State, the highest administrative court, which should decide by the end of November.

The channel is banking on the stability of its schedule for the coming season

While waiting to decide on her fate, it is difficult for the Twelve to project herself into the future. For the coming season, the channel is banking on the stability of its program schedule. On the entertainment side, the “100% Feel Good” channel will continue to program “Masters of Laughter” by Bruno Roblès in prime time, “New vibes”, the magazine of NRJ host Louis Daubé, and even “The Song », his musical game hosted by singer Keen’V.

For new features, the one which in September is the last free DTT channel with 0.8% audience share will rely on the adaptation of a new Australian format, “My Kitchen Rules”, with “du game, strategy and delicacies.” She will also launch a decoration show with rookie Stéphanie Catanzano (“Maison à vente”) or “Poker Society”, a show from YouTube bringing together ten content creators who will compete in a competition around the famous card game.

The real announcement was in fact to be found on the group’s leading radio station: NRJ. Not for his morning show where the star host, Manu Levy, announced on stage that he had resigned “for two years”. And this despite “2.3 small problems” last season, as he himself explained in reference to the accusations of “moral harassment” made by four former colleagues who decided to take the matter to the industrial tribunal.

A return to basics for Camille Combal

The recruit of the day is more about the afternoons. The music station has decided to pay for the services of Camille Combal. After months of negotiations, NRJ managed to convince the TF1 host to come on its channel, “for events”, as the latter explained on stage. In about ten days, its “Drive” will be broadcast from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily until December. “And then we see,” slips a station executive.

This is a return to basics for Camille Combal, who began his radio career on NRJ in 2006. He thus partly inherits the slot left vacant by the departure of Sébastien Cauet in November 2023. Indicted for rape and sexual assault, the former host of NRJ’s 3 p.m./7 p.m. program was initially replaced by Louis Daubé. The latter, for its part, is keeping its “SuperShow NRJ” for the coming season, scheduled from 10 p.m. to midnight.
