In Brittany, an umbrella is essential due to the arrival of rain and stronger winds. From the Normandy coast to the Pays de la Loire, the sky is quickly clouding over. It’s better if you are between Hauts-de-France and northern Aquitaine, but the cloud cover thickens quickly. Everywhere else, after the rapid dissipation of a few low clouds, you enjoy the good weather, with a very present freshness at daybreak.
It is 2 to 8°C from the center to the east of the country with small white frosts in the open countryside. In Brittany and near the Mediterranean, it is a little milder, around 10°C.

This afternoon
The Breton rains are quickly gaining ground. They are progressing towards Normandy and the Pays de la Loire with good gusts of 80 km/h on the coasts. From the Pyrenees to the Mediterranean to the eastern borders, you benefit from sunny weather. In all other regions, even if you escape the drops, the clouds end up imposing themselves before evening.
Maximum temperatures range from 13 to 16°C on average in the north and from 17 to 22°C in the south up to 25°C in Biarritz.
Soirée
With the progression of the disturbance, the rains extend to a large northern third of the country. Be careful near the Channel due to a gale with gusts reaching 90 to 100 km/h. Inland, the wind reaches 60 to 70 km/h from Pays de la Loire to Hauts-de-France via Paris. From the Grand Est to the Mediterranean towards the Pyrenees, you stay dry under an increasingly cloudy sky.

Things to remember over the next few days
On Monday, Sunday’s disturbance had barely escaped towards Belgium when another disturbance returned via Brittany, accompanied by heavy rain and a new strengthening of the wind in the evening. In the south, the weather is calmer, but cloudy. Tuesday, the weather deteriorates everywhere with sometimes heavy rain, storms in the Mediterranean and a noticeable wind. Wednesday, caution, because the episode of bad weather continues in the south while showers take over from the rains in the north in a cool and windy atmosphere. Even if the rains and showers then decrease, the return of calm and anticyclonic weather is still not expected.
